Workshops and Master Classes

Where is who I was and Am, (c)Ginger Foot FilmsThe European-Asian training initiative DOCROADS was developed by George Kalomenopoulos (2k Films) and Björn Jensen to help young filmmakers tell their stories. In a compact course that is unique in the world, participants are accompanied by experienced tutors in the creative development of a film.
In addition, Björn regularly teaches at film schools and holds workshops for universities, organizations and companies.

Docroads

DOCROADS is a unique project-based creative workshop, aimed at European and Asian aspiring film professionals. Within one to two weeks, the participants experience the challenges of international co-production in both a theoretical and practical phase. The participants are guided by tutors in working groups through the course offerings and develop their own projects. At the end of the program, each group will have completed a 15-minute short film on a given topic. Team building and networking are also central elements in the courses. The DOCROADS program is conducted in collaboration with the University of the Aegean, an accredited European university. ECTS points are awarded for participation in a DOCROADS workshop, which can be credited towards a bachelor's or master's degree. DOCROADS has already been carried out several times in Asia and Europe.
