Creative Director, Autor
Björn hat Germanistik, Anglistik, Mediävistik und Theaterwissenschaft studiert und mit einem Magister Artium (M.A.) der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München abgeschlossen. Er besitzt außerdem einen Master of Business Administration (MBA) mit Schwerpunkt International Business der University of Southern Queensland in Australien. In den letzten 35 Jahren hat Björn Jensen bei über 140 Serien, Spielfilmen, Dokumentar-und Animationsfilmen für TV, Kino sowie XR-Productionen mitgearbeitet, von denen viele mit Preisen ausgezeichnet wurden.
Er war 15 Jahre lang als Head of Production für die Productionsfirma Kick Film GmbH tätig, bevor er sich 2007 mit Ginger Foot Films selbstständig machte. 6 Jahre lang war er als Schatzmeister im Bundesvorstand der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Dokumentarfilm - AG DOK, des grössten deutschen Filmverbandes tätig, 3 Jahre lang im Vorstand des European Documentary Network EDN, 9 Jahre Mitglied des Fachausschusses Steuern des Deutschen Kulturrates, 4 Jahre in der Berufungskommission der VG Bild-Kunst, 6 Jahre Jurymitglied in der BKM Filmförderung und 2 Jahre im Beirat von German Films. Er hat den renommierten Markt Sunny Side of the Doc für den asiatischen Raum beraten und organisiert für German Documentaries die Teilnahme deutscher Dokumentarfilmschaffender auf internationalen Festivals und Märkten.
Björn Jensen ist seit vielen Jahren Experte des Horizon EIC Accelerator Programms der Europäischen Kommission und der Media Förderung der Europäischen Kommission. Er moderiert Diskussionsveranstaltungen und Pitchings, ist Academic Director der europäisch-asiatischen Trainingsinitiative DOCROADS, und hat an diversen Hochschulen in Europa und Asien Seminare und Workshops geleitet, unter anderem für: Macromedia Hochschule, University of Westminister, Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Die Medienakademie, Movie College, La Salle College Singapore, Tokyo Docs, AG DOK Akademie, Sunny Side of the Doc, Asian Side of the Doc, Doc Forum Minsk, Guangzhou International Festival, Goethe Institute Cambodia, Red Bull Studios, Mercedes Benz Group, European Television and Media Academy Straßburg, Dokville Ludwigsburg, Golden Tree Festival Frankfurt, World Content Market Prag und dem Wirtschaftsministeriums Deutschland.
In den letzten Jahren hat er als VP Business Development für Reef Distribution, einem der weltweit führenden Vertriebsfirmen für 360 Grad immersive Fulldome Filme gearbeitet, war als CFO & Head of New Markets bei Plenty.Business beschäftigt, einer Consulting Agency für die Kreativbranche und Tech-Brands sowie als Head of Production für Batelion GmbH, einem Creative Studio für VFX und Animation. Björn arbeitet inzwischen freiberuflich als Creative Director und Autor.
